Community Cat Protocol

We are dedicated to preventing further overpopulation and will work with cat colony caretakers. Please contact us at 863-646-7722 for pricing and more information.

The below is subject to change without notice.

  • Community Cat Surgeries are conducted Monday through Friday

  • Cats must arrive and depart from Cat Patio - located in the left back side of the Medical Center - in a humane trap

  • Drop-off time: 7:00 to 7:30 AM.

  • Pick-up time: 3:30 PM

  • Pregnancies will be terminated

  • Left ear will be tipped by veterinarian while anesthetized. This will serve as an easily visible marker if the cat is ever caught in a trap again.

  • Cats will be inoculated against rabies with a 1-year vaccine

  • All cats will receive injectable pain medications to assist with post-op recovery.

We can only safely accommodate so many surgeries per day, so we may need to refer to another facility if we’ve hit capacity.

Use a humane trap,

not a carrier.
